Infrastructure Services - Refractory Team recently completed a challenging and rewarding project: • Detailed coordination with the customer and logistics specialists to transport a permitted load Waste Heat Boiler from Kansas to our shop in Deer Park, TX. • Required a dual crane lift for both loading and offloading, maintaining safety throughout all lifts and placements. • Performed meticulous abrasive blasting per specifications to achieve the required anchor profile and surface cleanliness for the new gunned lining. • Prepped tube sheets with protective coverings to ensure no foreign material entered the tubes. • Gunned a high-strength, medium-weight, abrasion-resistant product into both ends of the Waste Heat Boiler. Sample panels were shot for 3rd party inspection to verify compliance with the manufacturer's specifications. • After allowing the material to cure, we fabricated custom bulkheads to protect the PWHT tube sheet during dry-out, performed at our facility. • Our highly skilled crew worked closely with a designated 3rd party inspector, establishing milestone hold points to ensure the ITP was met and every aspect of our work exceeded customer expectations. • Zero incidents.
