𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞: Construction is progressing on the new 62,000 SF jail adjacent to the Carey Winders Detention Center Annex in Goldsboro, NC. Designed by Moseley Architects, the facility will replace a 1994 detention center with 220 beds and enhanced electronics, surveillance, and internet infrastructure to ensure security, efficiency, and operational effectiveness. Technology can also provide educational and rehabilitation programs for inmates and virtual visitation systems, which contribute to the overall goal of reducing recidivism and aiding inmates in reintegrating into society post-release. We connected permanent power and water this week and HVAC startup and testing recently completed. Work continues on final interior paint and ceiling tile installation, along with exterior landscaping, fencing, and retaining wall construction. The project remains ahead of schedule, navigating challenges with electrical gear effectively. #NCConstruction #GoldsboroNC #ConstructionUpdate #TALoving

The Circular Steel Sheet Pile Cofferdam was installed temporarily to allow excavation for building the underground portions of the new Influent Pump Station at the Wastewater Treatment Plant in Clinton, North Carolina. We have now hit the milestone of building the twenty-nine-foot-deep concrete structure and our team to remove the 45’ sheet piles using a vibratory hammer. Our dedicated teams collaborate with plant personnel to understand their needs and exceed their expectations by delivering personalized solutions. We are building the foundations of tomorrow, today. #InfluentPumpStation #SheetPileRemoval #LovingLife

Intern Highlight! Joseph Palmer is an intern for Pipeline Utilities who has already decided to come back next summer due to loving “the simplicity and the complexity” of utility construction. He’s working with our team on constructing a new sewer force main in Wendell Falls. His daily tasks are versatile, as he is trying out different duties and is “learning valuable pieces of knowledge and advice on site”. Education: East Carolina Construction Management Student Why Joseph loves working with us: “My crew has 100% put me to work. They have been vital to my success here so far and we all have created a very good relationship out on site and even outside of work. I feel my education has been really enhanced by this experience as I am learning things they don’t teach us in school.” Advice for future interns: “Make as many connections and ask as many questions as you can.” #Intern #PUI #LovingLife
