Last week, we had the privilege of attending a landmark event at the White House focused on Safe, Secure, and Sustainable Supply Chains through Biomanufacturing. Organized by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy's, the event emphasized the significant achievements and future potential of President Biden's Executive Order on Advancing Biotechnology and Biomanufacturing Innovation. It was great to be surrounded by so many key stakeholders of the US bioeconomy and to celebrate the remarkable progress made by the Biden-Harris Administration. For the full list of achievements, including investments from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), United States Department of Defense, National Science Foundation (NSF), and USDA, check out fact sheet at https://lnkd.in/e2FNTcwi Events like this one make our team excited about the ongoing dialogue and collaborative efforts to advance the US bioeconomy. #bioeconomy #biomanufacturing #fermentation #precisionfermentation #policy #whitehouse #deeptech #sustainability

Synonym is thrilled to share that the Biden-Harris Administration, through the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), has announced a ~$51M funding award for iFab, one of the EDA's twelve designated Tech Hubs formed to scale up the production of critical technologies. Synonym is proud to celebrate this significant milestone alongside our fellow iFAB Tech Hub consortium members. Together, we have big plans to transform Central Illinois into a major hub for biomanufacturing infrastructure, supporting national security, economic growth, and job creation. "This announcement underscores the importance of biomanufacturing as a crucial platform for American manufacturing dominance in the 21st century," said Edward Shenderovich, Co-Founder and CEO of Synonym. "This funding will directly contribute to more bioproducts on the market and into the hands of consumers. We're grateful to the iFab consortium for including us as members and for their hard work and vision to bring these projects to fruition -- on our way to making Central Illinois a global leader in biomanufacturing."
