What started as a routine flight turned into an unforgettable birthday extravaganza for little Edie, thanks to our incredible Employees. It all began when a Customer Service Agent saw that it was Edie's birthday and rallied fellow Passengers to start a dollar collection for the birthday girl. Once on board, our Flight Attendants took the party to new heights! The entire plane joined in singing "Happy Birthday," and Edie was presented with a makeshift 'crown' and a 'cake' crafted from toilet paper. Our Crew then invited Passengers to contribute to Edie's "cash train," where her birthday fund quickly grew with every step down the aisle. Upon landing, Edie's generosity shone through as she gifted $20 to a band playing at the airport. In turn, they serenaded her with a beautiful rendition of "Happy Birthday". We are so proud of our Employees for constantly going above and beyond to transform ordinary journeys into extraordinary memories. Edie, we hope your 6th birthday was as special as you are! You just witnessed a core memory being made. ❤️💙💛 Chris, a Houston based Flight Attendant, was in for a sweet surprise when one of his daughters recently joined him inflight! He's no stranger to sharing the skies with his family though; his wife is also a Southwest Flight Attendant and his girls developed a passion for flying at a young age. In fact, Chris and his wife's love for their roles helped inspire their children to pursue careers in the aviation industry, too! Kam, Chris' daughter, shared that even after 35 years "he puts so much love into everything he does. It's easy to tell how much he cares about the Passengers and putting a smile on their face." #SouthwestHeart

Cleared for landing! 🛬 After soaring the skies as a Southwest Pilot for over 34 years, Captain Bill has officially embarked on his final journey - retirement. His retirement flight was an extra special one as his own son, First Officer Luke, was by his side in the Flight Deck for the final flight. It was a proud moment for the father-son duo as Captain Bill's passion for aviation is what inspired Luke to also pursue a career as a Pilot. The celebration even extended into the main cabin, where all 8 of Captain Bill's grandchildren and his children were onboard to celebrate! While his presence in the Flight Deck will be missed, Captain Bill's legacy will continue through the many Pilots he trained and influenced during his tenure. Thank you for everything, Captain Bill, we wish you clear skies and tailwinds on your next journey called retirement! #SouthwestHeart
