Last week, we celebrated another significant milestone with Milwaukee Recreation at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the reopening of Carmen Playfield. In addition to a playground, basketball courts, splash pad and game striping, the park also features tuj lub courts, a popular game within the neighborhood. The vibrant revitalization of the park and community space is a testament to Milwaukee Recreation’s ongoing efforts to enhance the city’s network of 52 playfields.

The Haughville Riverfront Vision Plan guides the future of a network of parks and open spaces on the west bank of the White River within Indianapolis' Haughville community. Developed in partnership with Indy Parks and Recreation, the Vision Plan includes four areas along the riverfront: Reverend Mozel Sanders Park, Belmont Beach, River Station, and Floodplain Forest. The plan was developed through collaborative activities and interviews with the community throughout 2023 and was formally adopted by the Indianapolis Board of Parks and Recreation on April 16, 2024. We were honored to serve as this project's lead and landscape architect alongside partners V3 Companies, Herd Strategies, JIMA Studio, and the Friends of Belmont Beach.
