Do you do #SMS marketing for your brand? Klaviyo just published the benchmarks they're seeing across e-commerce, and I was happy to see that our SMS campaigns at Halo outperform by ~10x across the board. Learnings below 👇 📱First off, what were the benchmarks? Klaviyo sees on average: - Click rate: 11.19% - Placed order rate: 0.11% - Unsub rate: 1.49% - Revenue/recipient: $0.12 👉 Key takeaways: - These are just the averages - there's a HUGE diff between average and best-in-class (top 10%) - No surprise here - highly segmented and targeted campaigns perform far better than one-size-fits-all blast 📈 Here are some of the tactics we use at Halo to keep SMS performance high: 1. Frequent list grooming We put the opt out front & center. If you don't want to be on our list, we don't want to pay to send you the text. Keeping our list quality high reduces filtering issues with the carriers. 2. Limited and reliable cadence Customers expect our drops to come every Saturday (they literally text US if they miss it 😆). We text 1-2 times every week. We never overtext. Customers have granted us a highly valuable spot in the most intimate space on their phone - their text inbox - and we continue to earn that trust every week. 3. Authentic tone of voice A real person should write the messages. You should feel like you are texting an actual friend. Share something funny or warm to lift their spirits. Note: sometimes this comes at the cost of extra message segments - this is a cost we're willing to pay. (But in general we try to stay <6) 4. 1:1 conversation We answer every message, and encourage texting back and forth with customers. This helps customers feel a connection and community within Halo. There are plenty of ways to achieve this at scale (you can reach out to learn what we're doing). 5. Personalization The texts should be highly relevant for the customer. While Halo's weekly drops encourage serendipitous discovery, we also ensure that every product included is curated for our customer's parenting journey. This year we are investing a LOT more in personalization. Results so far? Customers receiving a personalized drop convert at 14x our typical (already 10x performing) drop 🤯 #smsmarketing #ecommerce #ecommercemarketing #brandmarketing

Despite taking a slightly different approach (thanks to Jacob Christensen for the green light🤩), I've delved into the art of condensing a 30-minute livestream into a punchy 3-minute recap. The goal of this video is to create a brief guidance on the most important things that parents might need while going through sleep transitions. Here are some key takeaways: 💡Crafting a Complete Narrative: Navigating through an abundance of content in limited time taught me the importance of meticulous planning. Shoutout to Anna Fuller for her invaluable assistance in structuring and fine-tuning the clips! 💡Platform Adaptation: Learning to tailor content for different platforms was an eye-opener! Grateful for the insightful feedback from both Jacob and peers, like the reminder to consider Instagram Reels' layout constraints. 💡Audio Precision: While exploring ways to enhance audio synchronization, I encountered challenges with the original livestream file.
