TAPS 2024 Summer Field Day: This time last week our James Herrick was out in North Platte, NE at the West Central Research, Extension & Education Center. We are grateful for programs such as TAPS for allowing the agronomic advancements that they help facilitate. Let's take a look at how our plot stands up next to the competition!

Field Recon heads South: Jackson was recently in Shorter, AL at Auburn University's E.V. Smith Research Center. It is here that Dr. Brenda Ortiz is leading the Alabama Farmer's Competition. The competition invites growers to test their management practices against one another, with the opportunity to test precision ag technologies such as N-Time. Let's hear what Jackson had to say!

Last week Jackson met with Dr. Brenda Ortiz at the E.V. Smith Research Center in Shorter, AL during the final nitrogen application of Auburn’s Alabama Farmer’s competition. The competition included 8 teams; each allotted a one-acre plot replicated three times. Each team was provided with a Sentinel recommendation to inform their own management strategy. Auburn University will soon be joining the TAPS consortium, allowing participants to access results and information from other universities across the country. Dr. Brenda Ortiz emphasized the advantages of such competitions for benchmarking their management practices and the opportunity to test emerging precision ag technologies before implementing them on their operations.
