Let's give a round of applause for our May Employee of the Month, Viannah Villagomez! 👏 Viannah is our EFAP Nonprofit Services Coordinator who runs compliance for our nonprofit partners and connects the families we serve with the resources they need to thrive. When asked what she enjoys about working at the Food Bank, Viannah explained, "I enjoy working for an organization that understands food access is only the beginning of what we can do for our communities. Linking San Diegans with resources such as diapers, period supplies and our nonprofit partners that offer services, is equally as impactful to families in need. Understanding that easy food access can give families the room to explore other avenues of support is crucial to addressing the underlying causes of food insecurity." Viannah's passion for supporting local families shines through in the work she does. "The most rewarding part of my job is being able to research areas of San Diego that have the highest need and finding partners in those areas who are eager to serve their communities."
