I had a Waymo ride last week, and it was an amazing experience. Having been involved in autonomous vehicles since 2008—earlier than most people—I’ve witnessed steady growth in autonomous technology over the years. Experiencing Waymo was surreal, reinforcing my belief that there’s no turning back; we will get there eventually. I’ve also used Tesla FSD since 2017, and the progress there is steadily improving, providing an amazing user experience. At SafeAI, Inc., we are working hard to make heavy industry autonomous, which in turn will make work sites safer and over 25% more productive. Our own technology is now feature complete, production ready and on-track to ramp up. Much of our progress is due to the significant advancements (innovation and financial) made by Waymo, Tesla and others in the on-road AV space, and our ability to leverage and apply those advancements to our own off-road applications. You can see a glimpse of our autonomous solution in action in the second half of this video. I continue to be encouraged by the progress being made with on-road and passenger AV vehicles and the positive innovation impact it is driving for off-road AVs.

Not only is Cynthia Brosque a rockstar product manager for SafeAI, but she's also an Adjunct Lecturer in Construction Robotics at Stanford University School of Engineering 🚀 Thank you Cynthia for sharing your knowledge and domain expertise not just with SafeAI, Inc., but in the classroom as well 🙌 #constructionautomation #robotics
Last week we wrapped up CEE 327: Construction Robotics. Over ten weeks, students collaborated with industry and academic partners to assess the impacts of nine construction robots using a consistent and repeatable method. Thank you to KMV Group, Tvasta , Skanska, Obayashi Corp, Movexx Compact Push/Pull Assists, DPR Construction, RWTH Aachen University (Victoria Jung, Christoph H.), Technical University of Munich (Anne Fischer, Johannes Fottner) for participating in the case studies. The students also engaged in lectures and site visits with Dusty Robotics, Canvas, SafeAI, Inc., Hilti Venture Antonia Elisa Soler Blasco, Russell Varone, Marco Annunziata, Joseph Louis, Jochen Teizer, Reza Akhavian, and Prof. Oussama Khatib, who provided insights into the future of construction. A special thanks to our TA, Abhishek Palit, for coordinating a dynamic quarter with Stanford, TUM, and RWTH Aachen students working together. https://lnkd.in/eVmssxYV

We have built a technology in which safety is core to our name and culture, and is the cornerstone of everything we do. We’ve built our overall framework to address a #safetyfirst approach which begins early in the design phase and continues all the way through to deployment, and beyond. We're honored to participate in events like IAARC 2024 to share our safety framework for autonomous technology and to have team members like Cynthia Brosque helping to lead the charge.
Join us this Wednesday at the 41st International Symposium on Automation and Robotics (ISARC 2024) where Bibhrajit Halder and I will introduce our paper titled "A Safety Framework to Assess Autonomous Construction and Mining Equipment." This paper discusses the framework followed by SafeAI, Inc. for deploying autonomous technology in global construction and mining projects. https://lnkd.in/gWR9t_JY Conference program and details are available at the link: https://lnkd.in/geDmDstR
