🌊 Russell Marine is unleashing another tidal transformation with the installation of the Wando Welch Terminal (WTT) Toe Wall, a critical project that involves meticulously placing 47-foot-long sheet piles approximately 50 feet underwater. 🌊We have hit the ground running, working diligently alongside port operations to minimize client downtime. Our commitment to quality work and safety is unwavering, ensuring an incident-free process while remaining on schedule and within budget. 🚢 And here’s the exciting part: the sheet pile toe wall isn’t just about the present—it’s designed to facilitate future deepening of the berth. This means the client will be able to attract larger vessels carrying even more cargo! 📦 Fun Fact: Spanning over 400 total acres, WWT is South Carolina Port’s largest container terminal, responsible for moving approximately 78% of the Port’s annual container volume. #Construction #MarineEngineering #Infrastructure #QualityWork #heavycivil #marineconstruction #RussellMarineLLC #RussellMarine #RussellMarineEastCoast #portinfrastructure

As we soar through the early months of 2024, Russell Marine's dedicated East Coast team has hit the ground running on an exciting new project for the South Carolina Ports Authority Wando Terminal. Our team is fueled up and ready to make significant strides in this critical endeavor, allowing the Wando Terminal to gear up to dredge to deeper depths - a move that will solidify the continued growth of the Port and enhance its capacity. But that’s not all! Our ongoing project to construct the new Pier November for the US Coast Guard in Charleston is also making waves. Today, our skilled crew is performing precision work, surgically removing the concrete deck and caps, extracting concrete piles, and installing a sturdy sheet pile bulkhead. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to shape the future of these vital maritime facilities! #russellmarine #russellmarinellc #marineconstruction #construction #portconstruction #maritimefacilities #portinfrastructure #piledriving #concretepiles #sheetwall #bulkhead #demolition

Russell Marine LLC is proud of the accomplishments our team and partners achieved on this project.
Russell Marine LLC helps transform the shores of Galveston, #Texas. The Galveston Berth 10 Marine Improvements Project was a visionary initiative that set the stage for Royal Caribbean's new cruise ship terminal, making it possible for the largest Oasis Cruise Ship Class to moor at Galveston. The project was designed to avoid obstructions and avoid causing any damage to existing structures. Russell Marine LLC had to remove sections of the existing concrete wharf to unearth each dolphin location, and then probe all proposed pile locations to avoid the battered piles of the existing land-side bulkhead. Based on the probe, eight of the 20 dolphins had to be redesigned. Avoiding the existing wharf battered piles was the largest technical challenge that the engineer, Jacobs Engineering Group of Cape Canaveral, Fla., had to overcome. Due to the uncertainty of the pile alignment, drilled shafts or other means of deep foundations ran the risk of damaging adjacent structures. Driven pipe piles are also best suited to the high salinity content of the Texas Gulf Coast. Read about the project's challenges and the team's solutions in the latest issue of #PileDriverMagazine: https://lnkd.in/gEzmTUQw #PDCADriven #PDCACommunications #PDCATexas #piledriving #deepfoundations #marineconstruction
