Anisha brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, further strengthening the company's commitment to delivering top-notch services and ensuring the highest quality of work in every project. With a proven track record in the engineering industry, Anisha is poised to make significant contributions to RE&LS. She received both her B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University and specializes in Bridge Design. Anisha is a Licensed Professional Engineer who has accumulated 7 years worth of industry experience in her field. This includes work on the Rte 17 at Rte 32 (Exit 131) Reconstruction in Woodbury, NY ($134 Million) and Bridge Replacements over I-295 at Exits 20 and 22 in Freeport, ME ($25.7 Million) along with a variety of other NYSDOT, TxDOT, MaineDOT, Metro-North Rail, and Tri-borough Bridge and Tunnel Authority projects. Anisha's responsibilities will involve working with RE&LS’ Transportation Department on bridge/culvert design projects. She is already hitting the ground running as she gets to know RE&LS’ client base as well as design duties on all the ongoing RE&LS bridge/culvert projects. Her strategic insights and dedication to excellence align seamlessly with the company's values, positioning her as an invaluable asset to the team who is happy to have her on board. This week the Employee Spotlight is on one of our newest team members, Colby Roberts. 👷   You may recognize Colby as a familiar face from our RE&LS Internship program. He began working with our Land Surveying Department in the summer of 2023 while he was pursuing his associate degree in Surveying Engineering Technology from Alfred State. Now that he has graduated, Colby has begun working on our team full-time as a Survey Technician where he is continuing to develop his professional skills. His favorite part about working at RE&LS is being able to learn more about the trade and experience different places and challenges every day. Additionally, Colby is excited to see what he can accomplish in the near future with all that he's learning now.   When he's not at work, Colby enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. 🎣🏞️ #employeespotlight #internships #landsurveying

Here is a look back at our structural team's recently completed project at Monroe Community Hospital. 🏥 This patient pavilion is located in an existing courtyard surrounded by original hospital buildings. It features a rectangular structural design with a stiff roof framing system and columns designed with fixed-moment connections to the mat foundation. This was done to resist both wind lateral and uplift loads while also creating a cohesive design aesthetic with the surrounding buildings. With the completion of this accessible pavilion, patients, guests, and staff will be able to better utilize this courtyard space. #structuraldesign

Featured this week are our interns for the summer, Connor Ingham, Chris Sacco, and Evelyn Herdzik! After a successful past couple of summers, Connor Ingham will be returning to our Land Surveying department for his third year as he continues to further his development and field experience with our team of professionals. Connor has attended Alfred State for the Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Technology program, with an expected graduation in 2025. We are excited to welcome him back and allow him to apply his new skills in the coming months.   Chris Sacco will additionally be joining our Land Surveyors for his first summer as an RE&LS intern. He plans to take advantage of the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with our industry experts while he also attends Alfred State for their Surveying and Geomatics Engineering Technology program, expecting to graduate in May of 2025. Evelyn Herdzik will be joining our Environmental department this summer while she pursues her Bachelor's of Environmental Engineering at The University at Buffalo, Expecting to graduate in 2026.
