There are so many benefits to organic gardening, from healthier produce to healthier soil! Organic gardening works with the processes your plants use to naturally absorb water and nutrients. They get what they need from the ground, to grow what you need from your garden! 🌱Microbes improve nutrient uptake and water absorption by plants, as well as protect them from pests and pathogens. 💧Healthier soil is created with increased organic matter to boost water-holding capacity, increase soil aeration, and sequester carbon from the atmosphere. 🌻Plants with ready access to nutrients (thanks to soil microbes) can produce more phytonutrients to improve color and taste. 🍅When your plants get better nutrients from the soil, their product contains better nutrients for you! #gardenlove #organicgardening #gardentips #instagarden #instagardeners #inmygarden #backyardgarden #ladybug #backyardfarm #growfoodnotlawns #growfood #growyourown #pollinatorgarden #beneficialinsects #gardeninglife #homestead #homesteadlife

"So...why a purple cow?" Believe it or not, we get this question a lot. The name 'Purple Cow' Organics was inspired by a marketing book that was written by Seth Godin, detailing what it takes to stand out. "The essence of the Purple Cow is that it must be remarkable." You see a field of cows outside a sleepy Wisconsin town. After a while, they all start to look the same. Then suddenly, it catches your eye. Something different in a way that matters. A purple cow? Remarkable. Purple Cow Organics is remarkable thanks to the diverse microbiology at the root of every single products. Biology affects everything from plant health and nutrition to better results for years to come. Microbes are a critical component to soil health no matter if you’re planting 5,000 acres or a 5x5 garden bed. 'Deeply Rooted in Healthy Soil' means we’re focused on creating healthier soil for better plants and a healthy planet. Soil health that grows with you? That stands out.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County is getting some revamped raised beds this year courtesy of the Lion's Club to teach future generations to grow. We're hoping our donation of Purple Cow Organics Raised Bed Mix can help make them a success. #raisedbedgarden

We love seeing our product doing good in our community. Glad we could help out the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County with a soil donation along with Keleny Top Soil. Keep on growing!
THANK YOU to Purple Cow Organics and Keleny Top Soil for bringing us new, rich soil to replenish and revive our garden beds at the Allied Family Center and the Erica & Anthony Fleming Boys & Girls Club! Our youth loved being able to garden last year, and we are so appreciative of the donation toward being able to offer the opportunity again this year.

We're so excited to partner with the Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens at Forward Garden this year to bring farm-fresh produce to local food pantries. Jerod, our COO, got into the fields last Friday and taught the West High School's AP Environmental Science students more about compost. We hung around and got our hands dirty to prep and plant rows of onions. We can't wait to see how the donated Purple Cow Compost helps these fields thrive.

We're excited to see our products assisting projects like Cellanie Farms in Waunakee. The mission to reconnect our community with where food comes from and how it's grown aligns beautifully with our mission to improve soil health and food nutrition. Best of luck to Nic and Betsy Stapel! www.cellanie.com
