Last evening, we celebrated the talented artists of our 11th Annual Summer of the Arts Exhibit at an Opening Reception at the South Atrium of the Fairfax County Government Center. The artists who are among Pathway Homes residents with mental health challenges and co-occurring disabilities, show and sell their own art, poetry, and crafts. More than 83 pieces from 18 artists were on display as attendees took the opportunity to meet these talented people. The art remains on display throughout the month of July and is also online for viewing and purchase at https://lnkd.in/e7A58x2t. Artists receive 100% of the proceeds. Pathway Homes is a nonprofit providing mental health services—starting with safe, stable housing—to individuals marginalized by poverty and inequity. Art and creativity are an integral part of recovery for Pathway Homes’ residents. #ArtExhibit #PathwayHomes #SupportLocalArtists #SummerOfTheArts
