Grassroots Carbon is excited to announce a commitment from @Microsoft to purchase high quality soil carbon drawdown credits. The credits mark Microsoft’s first investment in carbon credits generated from regeneratively managed grasslands and represent additional carbon sequestered over a 30-year period. The benefits of Microsoft’s commitment to soil carbon credits are much greater than atmospheric carbon removal and represent measured and verified changes in our ecosystems, benefits to our food supply chain, and improved grassland biodiversity, all while benefiting the land owners leading the practice changes needed for a sustainable future. Grassroots Carbon is excited to announce that we are working with Shell Nature Based Solutions, to advance our commitment to U.S. ranchers to embrace regenerative land management practices. Our Vision: We're committed to investing in regenerative grazing practices with a  commitment that harnesses the institutional strength of Shell and the expertise of Grassroots Carbon to support landowners in adopting regenerative practices, creating high-quality carbon drawdown credits. More than 41% of U.S. grasslands is dedicated to grazing (over 350 million acres), and our collective goal is to significantly increase the percentage of regeneratively managed land, currently less than 5%. These lands hold immense potential, capable of removing at least 500 million metric tons of carbon dioxide annually. Join us on this journey towards a greener, more sustainable future! 🌿🌍 Read more here: https://lnkd.in/dPmjmcM3 #Sustainability #RegenerativeLandManagement #ClimateAction #CollaborationForChange
