ORNL Federal Credit Union has been around since 1948—a financial cooperative, owned by our members and continuing to grow strong while serving thousands of your friends and neighbors by providing the tools and accounts to help them save more and spend less. And we've always worked to encourage our members to do just that. And now more than ever it's time to get back to the basics. Best of all, your savings are federally insured up to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States Government by the NCUA, a U.S. Government Agency. Like FDIC insurance, no one has ever lost a penny of money insured by the NCUA. Today, over 180,000 members of ORNL FCU account for over $2.7 billion dollars in assets. Our community credit union provides financial services to businesses and anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in the 19 counties of Central East Tennessee: Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, Union, Rhea, McMinn, and Meigs.
