✨🚀 Nookly's Big Milestone Alert! 🚀✨ Being an entrepreneur is no joke – it’s all about making tough choices, enduring rejections, and constantly reminding yourself why you started and that is all that is meant to be will always be the best plan. For me, it’s about the love of storytelling and its power to shape lives. Storytelling has been a huge part of my upbringing. My dad used to get us VHS records, and we’d always play a movie my family chose over dinner. As a kid, I found comfort and adventure in fiction. They helped me navigate my feelings and understand the world around me. In some of the hardest moments of my life, I turned on Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and managed to remind myself that it will all be okay. Maybe, I romanticize life a bit but I do believe kids learn a ton from the content they consume and for now this content is filled with junkfood. Today, I’m thrilled to celebrate one step closer to our vision. This is a prototype of what we envision Nookly could do: help bring back childhood entertainment to its fundamentals; the pursuit of an accepting and flourishing childhood, where all kids have equal opportunity to grow and develop effectively. Checkout Nookly’s FIRST animated story! It’s perfect for storytime, helps kids develop social and emotional skills, and teaches them to say please and thank you (all while being super fun! ⭐). P.S. How cute are our little Nookly readers whose voices are featured in this video? 😍 Special shoutout to the person who helped us create this prototype Malak Abdelghaffar https://lnkd.in/eykzWMXX ----- Nookly's platform provides personalized & entertaining movie-quality content that nurture social-emotional development in kids, delivering tailored content parents can trust to support their child's unique development goals while keeping them entertained. While we don't have animation on the website yet -- it is definitely coming soon. Try it out now -- first story is free! #StartupJourney #Storytelling #Innovation #TechForKids #Animation #MVPLaunch #PersonalizedContent #ChildrensMedia #FunAndLearning #ReclaimTheFuture

"I loved Disney and Harry Potter. The only thing missing was that I couldn't see myself represented in those characters and stories. I always thought: it could be better; we can do better." -Radwa Hamed In today's letter, we’ll learn how Radwa Hamed and Rex Duval’s paths converged and led them to co-found Nookly, an AI-powered storytelling app. We’ll also learn their perspectives on building safe, quality AI for a particularly challenging demographic: children! + plus: the essay that inspired the creation of ammi.ai

We are buzzed to be part of the 500 Global latest batch. As we are embarking on our mission to empower parents and educators to quickly and reliably build personalized research-backed engaging content for their kids that focuses on SEL, we couldn’t think of better partners on this journey!

Yesterday at the 500 Global new HQ office in Palo Alto, we held Preview Day for the current batch companies. What is Preview Day? Preview Day is a time honored tradition where the current flagship accelerator batch companies pitch to ‘friendlies’ (batch alumni, mentors, LPs, close investors, etc) at the 500 office and serves as a dry run leading up to Demo Day next month. It was a great opportunity for the founders to shake out their nerves, test out their pitch and see if it resonated, collect feedback, and more. How the founders tell their story and create a compelling narrative will be critical. Beyond Demo Day, it’ll help them in selling to customers, recruiting new team members, pitching investors, and more. 500 Global aims to back founders who are building global companies from Day 1. In this day and age, that’s a fast growing number. What was once a novel concept (investing in great founders in all corners of the world who aspire to be global) is now one of our biggest competitive advantages. In our 14 years, we’ve been fortunate to be part of the journeys of companies like Talkdesk, Canva, Intercom, Babylist, Olist, eFishery, Lucid Software, Mejuri, Chipper Cash, 9fin, Dinari, LottieFiles, and many many more. For many of these founders, seeing how far they’ve soared since *their* Preview Day is incredibly inspiring. The energy last night was palpable. So excited to keep building this in our new office, esp as 500's Flagship Accelerator transitions back to fully in-person starting this spring. *Group photo credit to Jeremiah Owyang!
