If you blinked, you missed it: UnitedHealth just announced it will start notifying those whose private data may have been exposed in the #ChangeHealthcare ransomware attack. They are offering free credit monitoring, which, as our co-founder, CTO and in-house banking industry expert Boe Hartman says, is the quintessential example of putting a Band-Aid on a bullet wound. Letters will be in victims' mailboxes soon, but UnitedHealth said "it may not have addresses for all of them," Amina N. of Reuters reports.
