Navy Midshipmen get a taste of heavy lift – Each summer Midshipmen from the U.S. Naval Academy visit Naval Air Station Patuxent River to see the test environment in action. These visits expose students to the vast array of test opportunities within the Navy and help them determine career paths. The CH-53 Heavy Lift Helicopters Program Office (PMA) 261 was very happy to introduce them to the newest U.S. Marine Corps heavy lift asset – the CH-53K King Stallion — currently undergoing digital interoperability testing.
