How can companies prepare themselves and their team for AI? "The main thing an employer can do is be proactive in communicating with employees. With AI, you’re going to have whole categories of people who you need to upskill — their role isn’t going away, but it’s going to change." - Motus President Lyssa Kohnke Read more insights from the Portland Business Journal's recent panel discussion "AI’s transformation of the world of work: Employee upskilling, development are key as technology gains ground": https://lnkd.in/eVsiXMT4

Today, on Juneteenth, we commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans and reflect on the journey towards equality and inclusion in all aspects of society, including America's pastime: baseball. From the historic moment Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in 1947 to the incredible Black athletes dominating the field today, baseball has come a long way. These trailblazers showcased their immense talent and paved the way for future generations. Last week, the Hillsboro Hops invited Orlando Williams and the rest of the Motus team to a game celebrating Juneteenth – honoring the rich history and culture of the Black community. Along with throwing out the first pitch (!), Orlando was able to share the importance of supporting diversity and inclusion efforts and contribute to the economic empowerment of the Black community. Let's continue to celebrate progress, unity, and shared humanity. ⚾️🎉

We are thrilled to congratulate Orlando Williams for being recognized as one of Portland Business Journal's Executives of the Year! Orlando's visionary leadership and unwavering dedication have propelled our team to new heights, making waves in the industry and beyond. His innovative approach and commitment to excellence inspire us all. Cheers to Orlando for this well-deserved honor! 🏆🥂👏 "As an ambassador, you're not there for yourself. You're there for a cause and for a purpose. You're there to serve others for the greater good. As we think about the challenges that were represented and described about Portland and what Oregon's going to face in the next few years, we represent that through the idea that we can all be ambassadors for our state. When [our team] relocates people to Oregon, we tell them it's inspiring, it's majestic, it's a peculiar paradise... but most of all, it's a place that celebrates diversity, that celebrates uniqueness, that celebrates the fact that we are different from one another but not adversarial against one another." - Orlando Williams during his acceptance speech #ExecutivesOfTheYear #MovingPeopleForward
