Good work to all involved!
Finally public - the Salinas Valley Deep Aquifers Study, one of the projects my team has been working on for the past few years. Not rosy findings, but rock-solid hydrogeological findings that we hope will provide a foundation for groundwater management. While I am always thinking about how the puzzle pieces fit together and how to move forward, with this particular report we tried to keep it focused on the science, so as to not muddy agreement with the science with the political considerations. The groundwater conditions in the Deep Aquifers are not easy to remedy, especially as it is such a critical water supply for both municipal and agricultural users; however, its importance doesn't negate the declining conditions. I was extremely proud of how my team of extremely talented hydrogeologists tackled this from multiple different angles, including using new AEM data, and provided usable guidance for management.
