Happy World Pilots' Day! Although we recognize them on this historic day, we appreciate the dedication and commitment of our 284 pilots, who make essential and recreational air travel possible for our passengers from nearly 40 airports nationwide. April 26th was chosen as World Pilots' Day for a particular reason. On this day in 1912, a young Turkish pilot named Fesa Evrensev took off for his very first flight and would eventually achieve a successful aviation career as a decorated military pilot and the first president of Turkish Airlines. Although this day began as a Turkish day of honor for pilots, in 2014, the International Federation of Air Line Pilots' Associations elevated the celebration to worldwide status!

Mokulele has reinstated non-stop flights between Honolulu and Kapalua for essential travel and is accepting essential and humanitarian supplies for delivery to Kapalua. We are in coordination with Maui County to distribute all donated items.   Items will be sent on space available and weight-available basis. Special cargo flights may be added should a need exist. We will accept cargo through Friday, August 18th.   Please use Kamaka Air Cargo for all heavy and bulky items.   At all Mokulele Airports, we can accept non-perishable food items, clothing, blankets, personal hygiene supplies, baby formula, diapers, disposable plates, plasticware, wet wipes, and other similar items. Also, do not forget the keiki with items like small toys, games, playing cards, coloring books, and crayons.   Packaging in multiple smaller boxes is better than one large box for space reasons.   Flights will operate throughout the day. Please, no items after 4 PM each day.   The County of Maui will pick up the items twice daily from the Kapalua Airport and taking to a distribution center.
