Meet Thomas Anderson, our latest LPeople spotlight! As Mechanical Area Lead and a dedicated 10-year member of LP Clarke County, Thomas is truly a hometown hero. In April, he bravely responded to a house fire, breaking a window to rescue the trapped homeowner. With over 30 years as a volunteer firefighter, Thomas has a history of heroism. He says, “In the moment, I don’t think about fear. I focus on helping those in need, whether it’s a person, their home, or their belongings. I don’t do it for glory—just the chance to make a difference.” Thank you, Thomas, for your commitment to helping others. We are proud to have you in the LP family. #LifeAtLP

Last month, LP Tomahawk proudly hosted the Lincoln County Forestry Department’s statewide meeting. The group of 88 foresters, Wisconsin Department of Resources agents, and other county and state employees toured our mill and enjoyed a Q&A with our team. Small and colorful, Canada warblers fly thousands of miles each year, spending most of their time in mature deciduous forests that are often threatened by development. Listed as "threatened" in Canada, these birds face habitat loss. To protect biodiversity, our Swan River mill in Manitoba conducts bird surveys on proposed harvest blocks. From 4-8 a.m., team members record bird calls and pass them to experts to identify, including Canada warbler calls. If identified, we avoid harvesting until nesting is complete. From 1997-2021, we recorded over 2,500 warblers, tracked their locations, and used this information to understand their preferred habitats. This is one of the many ways we protect biodiversity. 🌳 #Sustainability #LPCares

In the wake of Hurricane Beryl’s devastation in Texas, the LP Foundation has activated its Disaster Relief Program. We are proud to aid the communities near our Jasper and Carthage facilities by supporting the American Red Cross of Central & South Texas' local disaster relief efforts.   We are incredibly grateful that our Texas team members are safe, and our heartfelt thoughts are with our Southeastern Texas community. #LPCares
