We are so grateful for every donor hero who selflessly says "Yes" to giving the gift of life. Thank you to our donor families for their continued support and generosity. 💙
Each year, it is with great honor that LifeLink gathers with families whose loved ones supported or gave the gift of life through organ, eye and tissue donation during the previous year. 💙 Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating the heroic decisions made by donors, and their families, as well as the thousands of lives saved and impacted through each donor hero's generosity.

An OPO’s core mission is to honor organ donors and ensure their intention to give life through donation is fulfilled. A segment aired this morning on NPR’s Morning Edition focusing on Normothermic Regional Perfusion (NRP), a new technique OPOs use to improve the condition of the organs they recover for transplant. In this riveting episode, NPR Health Correspondent Rob Stein had the unprecedented opportunity to shadow Tennessee Donor Services during an organ recovery effort. TDS welcomed him to better understand the complexity of the work OPOs do and the importance of NRP. The episode showed firsthand the tireless efforts of OPO and hospital staff who work to recover as many healthy organs as possible under difficult circumstances. Our thanks to NPR and Rob Stein for the time and care they took to explore this revolutionary procedure that is saving more lives every day. Listen here https://n.pr/45XVxV7.
