This article struck us as very, very interesting here at www.kindo.ai. But maybe not for the reasons one might think. We are not going to delve too deeply into the argument of whether or not providers of closed source AI models have acted in an ethical manner when gathering training data for the development of their models. That is a discussion that is going to play out in the courts and in public opinion in the coming months and years. What caught our attention is the fact that these discussions are beginning to heat up and happen with much greater frequency over the past few weeks. Our takeaway is that the coming legal challenges as well as the potential for extreme public outcry over tactics used by large tech giants to train and build their AI models will, without a doubt, cause some pretty extreme gyrations in the industry sooner rather than later. Our further takeaway is that, because of these coming gyrations, it's imperative for companies to avoid vendor lock-in when it comes to their AI providers. Kindo's Security First AI Platform allows IT departments to easily switch back and forth on which AI models their employees use....so as laws and regulations change in different ways across different regions in the globe, companies who use Kindo will easily be able to maintain business continuity when it comes to the use of AI. This observation by Ethan Mollick is further validation of one of www.kindo.ai 's main theses. Namely, open source AI models are quickly coming to parity (and in many cases surpassing) closed source models like OpenAI's ChatGPT. We believe that in a very short while, companies will be able to utilize dozens of different highly-specialized open source AI models that they can host on their own infrastructure....all while maintaining complete control of all their confidential information. Kindo was built to be the "Easy Button" for companies to do this.
