Trail or Road? Trail is better for your body. Distance is the same but required more brainpower. The pace is slower, heart rate is lower. Road is hard on the body, pace is much faster, heart rate is higher but you feel so good running and seeing people outside. There is always another option inside treadmill. Running is a lot like business. It’s terribly hard on the body. Your heart rate can get extremely high. It can be slow paced or fast paced depending on the intensity. It’s our job to make sure we evaluate our options. Make sure we have the right equipment and hit the road. Ok on the shoes, I had options this morning when heading out for my run. I knew I wanted to go long. I wanted to run slower, mid 8 min mile, wanted to make sure I had appropriate time to think about the year ahead. So which ones do you think I wore? I took this picture a few days ago. It reminds me that in business, as in life, the sun doesn’t always shine however it is still there. There will be days in business that it seems dark and cloudy but the sun is always right behind those clouds. We need to be patient and let the sun to shine, it always does. I have learned over the many years it’s important to stay calm in turbulent waters and not let the best of days get me to excited nor the worst of days get me down. As we approach the last month of the year I wish all my friends a happy holiday, regardless of the holiday you celebrate. Enjoy the sun shine. While I understand this is a professional site for business September 11, 2001 changed both my personal life and the direction of my professional life. This date will forever and always be a sad day for me. It’s horrific to think of the number of people we lost, both on this day and for years to come.
