We're reaching out to share an exciting opportunity to support Hudson Pride Center! Hudson Pride Center is participating in Hudson Gives, a 24-hour virtual fundraising campaign and competition that aims to unite our community in support of local causes in Hudson County. This event provides an opportunity for individuals like you to make a difference and contribute to the important work that Hudson Pride does every day. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit community-based organization, Hudson Pride Center is the largest and leading LGBTQ+ social services center in New Jersey. Our mission is to enhance LGBTQ+ lives by fostering a safe, inclusive environment, offering critical social services and programs tailored to meet ongoing community needs, and building trust with each person who seeks our support. With a focus on improving quality of life, Hudson Pride Center offers a robust range of mental and physical health resources, including HIV/PrEP services, mental health referrals, hormone therapy and gender-affirming care assistance, food and basic needs provisions, as well as housing and shelter support. Additionally, Hudson Pride Center provides hundreds of free workshops, groups, and events led by dedicated staff and interns to keep programming accessible and community-focused. This includes weekly support offerings tailored to LGBTQ+ youth, elders, transgender, and nonbinary members. By providing a lifeline to LGBTQ+ individuals in need, Hudson Pride Center makes an invaluable impact - helping them not just survive, but truly thrive. Hudson Pride Center is proud to partner 🤝 with Partners In Prevention, under the New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services initiative (NJ4S)! This is a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to enhancing student’s well-being and academic growth across New Jersey. The mission is to address today's pressing mental wellness challenges among youth. Hudson Pride Center's role in this initiative starts with advocating for LGBTQ+ specific students’ needs in schools all over Hudson County. Our Health Educators will provide training and support to school staff, giving them essential tools to foster an LGBTQ+ inclusive climate. Through Hudson Pride’s in school training, teachers and administrators will be equipped to transform their classrooms and schools into an affirming environment where LGBTQ+ students can flourish without experiencing bullying, violence, discrimination, homophobia, or transphobia. Hudson Pride’s Health Educators will also provide leadership development support to youth in schools to create (or enhance) LGBTQ+ inclusive student groups that can serve as a platform where peers can meet, socialize, and obtain needed resources to address their barriers.
