Unveiling the Future of Healthcare in Holyoke! ✨ Last Friday, we unveiled our visionary initiative aimed at tackling regional healthcare workforce shortages with the launch of the Regional Health Professions Education and Training Center in Western Massachusetts! Dr. Alejandro Esparza Perez, our CEO, shared our mission with local leaders, higher education officials, and healthcare experts. This initiative aligns with Governor Healey’s Mass Leads Act, aiming to build a skilled healthcare workforce to meet growing demands. Our strategy includes partnering closely with local colleges to enhance training programs in downtown Holyoke, ensuring a pipeline of qualified professionals like never before. Additionally, we're revitalizing the historic Steiger building into a state-of-the-art, eco-friendly facility—a hub for learning and innovation that will breathe new life into our community. This project isn't just about healthcare; it’s about revitalizing our city and preparing for tomorrow's challenges. We're grateful for the support of our community and legislators as we work towards our goal of enrolling students by January 2027. We have an integral role in the HRSA Health Center Workforce Wellbeing Survey to assess how health workers are doing and feeling on the job. We are pleased to announce that we are expanding our ACO REACH program with the addition of Mosaic Community Health in Oregon and the Holyoke Health Center in Massachusetts! C3 currently operates as a Medicaid ACO on behalf of 22 Massachusetts FQHCs and serves as a Medicare ACO REACH entity on behalf of 8 FQHCs in Massachusetts and Louisiana. This expansion of our network of Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) outside of Massachusetts is an opportunity for us to bring our highly effective model of care to a broader patient population. Mosaic Community Health is a FQHC with more than a dozen clinics and school-based health centers located throughout Central Oregon and serves more than 27,000 patients annually. With the addition of Mosaic and Holyoke, we will be providing care for over 12,000 Medicare patients through the ACO REACH program. “We are thrilled to be expanding our work in the ACO REACH program with Mosaic Community Health and Holyoke Health Center,” says Christina Severin CEO of C3. “Our growing participation in this model continues to emphasize our commitment to advancing health equity and reducing racial and social disparities. We look forward to our partnership with Mosaic Community Health and Holyoke Health Center in their long-standing commitment to provide high quality and equitable access to care to patients across Central Oregon and Massachusetts.” C3 unites FQHCs at scale to strengthen primary care, improve financial performance, and advance racial justice. C3 provides FQHCs with the tools and services needed to remain competitive in the ever-changing market landscape of value-based care – including value-based contracting, practice transformation, analytics, population health programs, quality and risk adjustment expertise and services. FQHCs are an integral part of the health care system, and have been shown to deliver high quality, patient-centered care that reduces total medical expenditures.
