706 E. Henry was constructed in 1903 as a fine example of a Free Classic version of a Queen Anne-style home. This home was acquired by HSF in 2020 as one of our Revolving Fund properties. Today, after two years of hard work by its new owners, it is back to its former glory. Historic Savannah Foundation welcomes its new Davenport House Museum Director, Danielle Hodes. Danielle comes to Savannah from her most recent post as senior program manager at the Edith Farnsworth House – a National Trust historic site. She has also worked with the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of American History where she was a lead program producer and project manager for the museum’s digital and in-person programming. Danielle and her fiancé are delighted to join the Savannah community and call this wonderful place home.

HSF's Director of Preservation and Historic Properties, Ryan Jarles, was featured in the 2023-24 Savannah College of Art and Design Academic Catalogue as a distinguished alumnus of the Preservation Design program. Since graduating, he has dedicated his time to the protection and preservation of our great city.
