Improved executive functioning skills, a stronger working memory, a wider cultural perspective - the benefits of multilingualism in young children are many. Kids are always listening; if residents in your home are fluent in more than one language, be sure to use them and expose these developing minds to all of these early advantages!

About us
Early educators at Heartworks Early Education help our youngest children thrive by guiding them to learn how to care for themselves, others, and the world around them. Our approach is rooted in social-emotional learning, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) curriculum, and nature-based learning. Four educational pillars, People First, Pedagogy for Tomorrow, Planet at the Core, and Positive Growth, hold up all our programs and lessons.

As advocates of Anti-Bias Education - the philosophical and tactical approach to creating equitable, open, and nurturing spaces for all children and adults to learn, thrive, and grow - we recognize the power and importance of inclusion and acceptance 🏳️🌈
For LGBTQ+ families, feeling welcomed by child care centers and other early childhood service providers offers a sense of trust and security. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3WWYUcs

We were thrilled to gather for our Inclusion Summit this past week! After distributing an open invitation to everyone within our organization to join, team members representing our schools, leadership, and home office came together to discuss cultivating a more purposeful and deliberate culture of Inclusion. The first of many such meetings to come, we look forward to welcoming more passionate voices to the table as we consult with both one another and experts in the space about creating workspaces that perpetuate tolerance, acceptance, and empathy.

Pre-K friends at Heartworks Burlington recently enjoyed a fantastic day exploring the community! The first stop was a visit at American Flatbread Burlington Hearth where we learned to make pizza. Next, we traveled to the Burlington Fletcher Free Library to return our books before stopping for ice cream at Burlington Bay Market 🍕📖🍦

Last week's on-site Assistant Director Onboarding Event - our 8th so far - was a great success! 🙌 Our new ADs took part in a 2-day training event where they met with our Home Office team to learn all about their departments including Education, Finance, Facilities, Quality, HR, IT, Recruiting, and Sales & Marketing. Thank you to all of our talented staff who led the presentations, and welcome to our newest and ambitious ADs! ☺️
