The US FDA has approved Eli Lilly's donanemab—brand name Kisunla—for the treatment of early Alzheimer's disease. Kisunla was originally expected to be approved earlier this year, however the FDA convened an advisory committee meeting to weigh the risks and benefits of the treatment. The committee backed the treatment in a unanimous vote last month. Kisunla will compete with Eisai and Biogen’s Leqembi, which received full FDA approval on January 6, 2023. #Alzheimers #FDA #EliLilly https://lnkd.in/ew3w8MdM
