Everyone’s time is valuable. We help teams spend it wisely.

About us

Harvest is an industry-leading software company building tools that help businesses thrive. We believe companies succeed by using their time intentionally, and our products support our customers by helping them plan, track, and understand their teams’ time. Harvest was created in 2006 by two small business owners who were looking for a way to manage and grow their web design agency in New York City. What started as a solution for their own company has since evolved into a business intelligence platform embraced by thousands of professional services firms across the world who share the same drive to grow thriving, sustainable businesses. Harvest is an independent, profitable company. We don’t have investors, shareholders, or a board of directors. Instead, our main drive is to serve the needs of our customers, so we put them at the forefront of every decision we make. All of this is made possible by the incredible Harvest team. Our small but mighty workforce sits across 9 countries and 11 time zones, resulting in a rich working environment where diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and opinions inform every discussion and decision. We value self-discipline, scrappiness and a genuine curiosity to learn from one another. Motivated by excellence and collaboration, our people are the engine that fuels our success.

The work we do at Harvest is made possible by our incredible team, and one of the ways we invest in this is by offering Harvesters a comprehensive package of benefits. From 100% medical and dental coverage for you and your dependents, to a yearly learning and development stipend, we’re committed to supporting all aspects of our team’s growth and well-being. One of our team’s favorite perks? Our vacation bonus! We celebrate employees with at least 4 years of dedicated service by sending them a stipend to take an annual vacation with their families. (Yes, you read that right — a vacation, on Harvest, every year!) Harvest Expert, Emily Clouse, just celebrated her 4 year Harvest milestone with her husband by visiting “The Pearl of Africa” in Uganda! “Thank you, Harvest, for not just making it so easy to take this time away — but for actively encouraging it. The world is beautiful and wild, and I feel so grateful for the opportunity to revisit a place I love and experience it in a whole new way.”

Why does branding cost what it does? Here's how we look at it. To start, we are quoting anywhere from $7k-$30k for branding & rebranding these days. This is a sticker price that shocks some people, but also would have knocked me right off my own chair in 2018. Here's how we got there: 1. We are in demand -- our pricing has always increased based on demand. The more inquiries we receive & proposals we close, the more our price increases. As we've gotten more attuned to our time spend (thanks Harvest time tracking!) we can better predict the pace of projects in a way that we are at our creative best without total burnout, which ensures we are delivering the best work possible to our clients. 2. We've assembled a dream team -- each team member plays an integral part in the success of your project. Our online business manager creates proposals, contracts, invoices and gets clients onboarded. Our brand copywriter sits in on your questionnaire call to help craft voice and tone. Our design team coworks over screen share to divide and conquer the visual assets, and our content manager ensures all your assets are delivered in a way you can actually use them immediately. 3. We have a tried and true process -- Over 10 years as a designer, and 6 as a branding expert lead us to the process that we now use with all of our rebranding clients. We are able to design creative, out of the box, brag-worthy brands because we put just as much effort into research as we do design work. By the time our clients see their brand presentation, we want them to be excited, but not surprised. Our batting average on that first presentation is 85-90% fully approved, no additional edits. 4. We're efficient -- our process means we can move FAST. One of the most common complaints we see from clients that come to us is that their last designer or design team took too long. They didn't know when, how or where they were going to get their final deliverables. In business, this can cost much more than money spent, but the inertia of your own progress. We set standard timelines and almost always deliver early. 5. We bring real value to our clients -- although it can be hard to measure the impact of a rebrand (because you'll never have an apples to apples A/B test of rebranding vs. not rebranding) we know that once clients work with us, they go on to do incredible things. Increased confidence in their visual identity leads to increased sales, press mentions, collaborations, expansions, and even hiring on full time team members in their own creative departments. There will always be designers cheaper than us. There will always be agencies more expensive than us; you get what you pay for. #branding #rebranding #logodesigner #logodesign

Staffing is crucial to any professional service firm’s success, but it’s vital to ensure the people you hire align with your core values and vision — and that your onboarding process reinforces those values. Join us on Thursday, June 27th at 11:00 AM ET for a Q&A panel with Level Agency CEO Patrick Patterson and WebMechanix President Chris Mechanic. They'll discuss not only how to market your business to attract the right talent, but also how to reinforce your vision to them in the onboarding process. Register here: https://lnkd.in/gaVbar_h

Harvesters are passionate about putting good into the world. Whether it’s volunteering at animal shelters, or performing magic tricks to make children struggling with illness smile, pouring kindness into our community is a foundational piece of who we are as an organization. One of the ways we empower our team to make an impact is through Harvest for Good — an initiative that allows us to send out more than half a million dollars to charities and causes each year. The best part? These causes are nominated and voted on directly by our Harvesters. This month we were lucky enough to donate to Vidiots. They're a one-of-a-kind hub for film lovers who are dedicated to inspiring community through film, and showcasing the work of underrepresented artists. “I can’t stress enough how tangible the impact of Harvest’s donation is on our organization. When you support a place like Vidiots, you’re directly contributing to the future of film as an artform. You’re investing in the next generation of audience members and filmmakers, and providing them access to inspiration and community.” - Maggie Mackay, Executive Director of Vidiots

Looking for a new way to plan your projects and stay on track? Try an activity diagram. It's similar to a flowchart — just with a little more detail. And the best part is they provide a much clearer vision of what needs to be done to cross the finish line. Get started building your own activity diagram by checking out our blog post: https://hubs.la/Q02zKRn70
