Golden Pass LNG

Golden Pass LNG was proud to partner with Friends of Sabine Reefs to fund the HI-54 Shallow, a new 20-acre artificial reef site recently added less than two miles from the shores of Sea Rim State Park. Made of repurposed concrete and metal materials, this artificial reef will support the marine habitats near our community of Sabine Pass, Texas, and allow the ecosystem to flourish. Our Golden Pass LNG team was thrilled to receive the Community Impact Award from the United Way of Mid & South Jefferson County, our esteemed partner and collaborator in many community investment programs in Southeast Texas. This award is a testament to the spirit and goodwill of our employees, who are committed to driving our community forward. We sincerely thank United Way for this honor and our entire team for their efforts to positively impact the community in which we live and work. 

We were thrilled to partner with Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas for a second year to be a host site for the 2024 Teacher Externship Program, a unique experience for local teachers to shadow at our site and offices and spend time with our employees from different business units and varying career paths. This experience provided local teachers with a first-hand look into the variety of professions available at Golden Pass LNG and the skill sets needed for these local, high-demand jobs. The teachers then take these learnings back to the classroom to better prepare students for the workforce. Many thanks to our participating teachers for joining us at Golden Pass LNG and helping connect local education with local opportunity! 

Golden Pass LNG employees had a blast participating in the Reel United Big Bass Tournament, a fundraiser directly benefitting the programs of United Way of Mid & South Jefferson County.  Many thanks to our employees and community members for helping to raise money for an organization creating positive change in Southeast Texas!

Since 2020, Golden Pass LNG has provided full tuition scholarships through the Foundation for Southeast Texas to local students to pursue process technology degrees at Lamar State College-Port Arthur or Lamar Institute of Technology. We were thrilled to continue that tradition this year and provide the Golden Pass LNG Scholarship for Process Technology to 10 students from Memorial High School and Woodrow Wilson Early College High School in Port Arthur. We’re committed to empowering the workforce of tomorrow. These scholarships are increasing access to higher education and opening doors to opportunities available in local industries. Congratulations to our 2024 scholarship recipients – we can’t wait to see what your future has in store!

To remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice, our Golden Pass LNG team participated in a Memorial Day flag-planting service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Port Arthur, Texas. We were grateful to come together with our community and reflect on the true meaning of the holiday.

The Golden Pass Women's Network sponsored a clothing drive for International Women's Day this year, donating a significant amount of professional attire to both Dress for Success Houston and the Family Services of Southeast Texas Women's Shelter in Beaumont. These donations will help empower women to achieve economic independence and approach important life moments with confidence.   In addition to clothing, our Golden Pass Women's Network donated $5,000 each to these impactful organizations, supporting their efforts to provide women with the tools they need for personal and professional success. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this initiative a success. Your generosity is creating positive change and uplifting women in our community and beyond!

Golden Pass LNG recently sponsored the Greater Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce Leadership Luncheon, where local leaders provided updates on developments in education, business, and community initiatives in the Port Arthur area. GPACC also received its official accreditation from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce – a recognition of a chamber’s outstanding contributions toward positive change in their communities.

Our Golden Pass LNG team lives and works here in Southeast Texas. We have a common interest in being good stewards of the environment we enjoy. Our team participated in an Earth Day Beach Clean Up at McFaddin Beach, where more than 500 bags of trash were collected and removed from our treasured coastline. Many thanks to our entire team who participated and helped care for our environment in honor of Earth Day!
