Last week GTMfund held three events with Flex and Quantum at Art Basel and the quality of attendees/attention to detail was second to none. The TL;DR - Blond(ish) Dj’d for a packed house - hundreds of the best founders, operators and VC’s in the world showed up (3000 person waitlist) - I got to hang with Marvin Jones Jr (nicest guy you’ll ever meet) - brought in world-class art to display - the real housewives of Miami showed up? - tons of authentic convos and some of the best networking possible - a jet pack flamethrower guy flying around Marketing, now more than ever, is about getting creative and bringing people together for unique shared experiences. The old event playbook is breaking down and there are ways to pull off events like this without breaking your budget. When we decided to bring on a handful of partners for the media side of the business , we knew we wanted to go deep with just a very select few that we know/love. - People we really enjoy working with (I’m looking at you Wes Yee 💪🏼 ) - Tech that we know is world class - And teams that are in it for the long game and now that showing up in community takes time/effort/commitment. We also want to work with the best in breed platforms for all different categories across: sales tech, mar tech, fintech, AI, even retail etc. We’ve been fortunate to partner with folks like: OpenAI, DemandBase, Crossbeam, Postal, Flex, Cognism, Seismic, Oyster, etc. We’re keep the amount of folks we work with extremely limited to ensure we can drive true brand awareness, thought leadership and pipeline.
