We've been a leading source of credit and financial services for agriculture and rural America since 1916.
About us
The Farm Credit Bank of Texas has been a leading source of credit and financial services for rural Americans for more than 100 years. Our long and successful history of financing agriculture and rural America is rooted in our cooperative structure and in other distinct business advantages: We are owned by our customers; therefore, we operate in their best interests and share our earnings with them in the form of patronage. We don't take deposits. Rather, we access the nation's money markets through the sale of AAA-rated Farm Credit bonds, which provides a reliable source of funding for rural Americans. Our policies are set by our board members, who are Farm Credit customers elected by their fellow customers. This form of governance offers transparency to our owners and investors. We are part of the Farm Credit System, the nation's single largest source of loans for agriculture, agribusiness, rural real estate and country homes. Our Chief Apprasier Tyler Mullins participated in the Association Leadership Program last week, which is hosted by our funding bank, the Farm Credit Bank of Texas. The group of delegates toured the Federal Farm Credit Funding Corporation in New Jersey, explored the Financial District in New York, and visited legislators on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. “The trip was an excellent opportunity to learn about a side of the Farm Credit System that many never get to see," Tyler said. "It's an honor to meet with our legislators and speak on behalf of our associations about the issues our stockholders face. Additionally, the trip gave me an opportunity to network with other Farm Credit employees across our district. I am so grateful for this opportunity to learn and grow." FCCS is proud to announce the winner of the 2023 Accelerator of the Year is Allyson Tjoelker, SVP, YBS and Mission Lending from Capital Farm Credit! Allyson has been chosen as the 2023 Accelerator of the Year for her significant contributions to her organization. She has been credited with single-handedly rebuilding Capital Farm Credit's YBS lending platform in 2023. She first created a dynamic dashboard to track YBS loan programs and events and then an extensive awareness program, in-person across Texas and online to educate lending teams and customers about Capital Farm Credit's YBS lending program. Recognizing the need for financial literacy tools, she partnered with Farm Credit University to provide Agricultural Business basics to Capital Farm Credit members. To culminate the educational offering, Allyson hosted the first CFC YBS AgriRoots Conference for customers and producers. Her nominator says "As a leader, Allyson has been an exemplary model to all those around her of how you can accelerate change and foster success." Please help us in congratulating Allyson Tjoelker as the 2023 Accelerator of the Year! #2023AcceleratoroftheYear
