EDM is pleased to share the Landscape Architecture services we provided to the Trinity Episcopal Church in downtown Lenox. Our Director of Landscape Architecture, Rob Akroyd, designed a new labyrinth on the front lawn of the Trinity Episcopal Church. The labyrinth is designed as a tranquil space for reflection and rest. It has benches, new plantings and red maple trees on a popular walking path at the intersection of Walker and Kemble streets. We are honored to have been a part of the Hamilton Park Pool project in Waterbury, CT! edm provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for the new 7,500 SF pool and promenade area.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this weekend for the Hamilton Park Pool in Waterbury, CT, just in time for summer! edmSTUDIO provided architectural services for the new pool house, a key component of the park project that also features a new 7,500-square-foot pool and promenade area. This is the first and most important phase of a larger plan to revitalize the entire park over the next decade. The pool house is strategically positioned to provide scenic views from the new promenade, enhancing both safety and excitement for visitors entering the park. A large solar canopy serves as a covered entryway, generating enough solar energy to power the entire facility during the sunny summer months. ☀ Read more about the project on our website: https://lnkd.in/etFxSUfN SLR Consulting edm architecture & engineering, p.c. Project Spotlight | LAUNCHBOX 6 Northway Lane, Latham, NY edm had the pleasure of collaborating with owner-operator, The Rosenblum Companies to provide full design services on one of their latest projects, Launchbox Flexible Warehouse Suites This warehouse stands out as one of the few fully electrified facilities in the Capital Region designed to achieve net-zero emissions. The 63,000 square foot industrial building, originally constructed in the 1970’s, underwent a comprehensive gut renovation. This transformation included an upgraded building envelope, electric air source heat pumps to replace the legacy natural gas system, and energy recovery ventilation for a healthier indoor environment. No fossil fuels are utilized onsite, avoiding an average 423.9 metric tons of annual CO2 emissions. The building’s projected total energy use intensity is 40% lower than a similarly sized conventional warehouse. With its 417kW rooftop solar PV array, Launchbox is expected to achieve net zero by producing as much or more energy annually than the building consumes. We would like to acknowledge and extend thanks to the following consultants who collaborated with edm on the project: Architecture | edmSTUDIO Electrical Engineering | ME Engineering, P.C., Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Structural Engineering | Macchi Engineers, LLC ➜ Visit Launchbox’s website | https://launchbox.co ➜ Learn more about this project | https://lnkd.in/g_pqB6cW
