    𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐣𝐨𝐛 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐠𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐬. 📝🤦♂️ Guys, writing good resumes is not rocket science, but being in the industry for the last few years, I have seen people making pretty bad resumes which never reach any recruiter. Most of the time, it is rejected by ATS software only. 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐭𝐨𝐩-𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐛, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐭. 📝 I am sharing the top 5 mistakes I have seen people making which kill your chance of getting past the ATS. 1) 𝐔𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞. There is a golden rule to life and also to writing resumes 😅 . 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫. I have seen people making resumes using colourful templates using 4-5 fonts, fancy icons and progress bars. ATS might be unable to parse these templates, and your resume might not even reach the recruiter. 2) 𝐔𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬. I have seen job seekers add many unnecessary things to their resumes. They add their Image, Hobbies, and irrelevant(for the job they are applying at) positions they held in XYZ college fests. Suppose a recruiter is hiring for a software development position. Do you really think they want to know whether you like badminton or cricket, if you were co-convener of a cultural fest at your college, or how good-looking you are ??? Guys, you are just wasting the precious space in your resume. Use it to mention something relevant. 3) 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐲𝐩𝐨𝐬. This is a big red flag for any recruiter. This shows you haven't invested sufficient time in creating your resume. 4) 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐢𝐭 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭. Do you know how much attention a resume gets when a recruiter sees it for the first time?? Guys, it is generally less than 10 sec. I have seen job seekers making 4-5 pages of resumes. I know you might have done many things in life, but it's not worth mentioning each of them in your resume. For freshers, I would highly recommend a single-page resume. 5) 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥(𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐝𝐈𝐧,𝐆𝐢𝐭𝐇𝐮𝐛) 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐬. When your resume passes the ATS, the recruiter might want to do some background checks on it. You must mention at least your LinkedIn profile link on your resume. I have discarded resumes for software development positions right away(might be personal Bias) if they didn't have a GitHub link. Here is an example of a crap resume. Make sure you are not making these mistakes. Please like the post , comment your thought and repost so that this reaches maximum audience. one of your friend might be making these mistakes. 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐞 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 "𝐀𝐓𝐒 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞" 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞. #ResumeTips #ResumeWriting #Tech #TechRecruitment
