  • If you’re a doctor or practitioner who wants to build a personal brand - here’s how: →Get NICHE.  You can always expand later, but start specific, clear, and niche. Create a TON of content around your niche. Video, written, audio. →Become known for something. Answer Questions.  I know, I know - as a doctor or provider, you can’t answer specific medical questions if someone isn’t your patient. BUT - there are a lot of general questions out there that you CAN answer. The key to SUCCESS as a doctor building a personal brand is making complicated things SIMPLE. If you can clarify things that seem “over their heads,” people are far more likely to listen to you in the future. →Respond to MYTHS. There is SO MUCH NONSENSE out there. You don’t have to be mean - but it would be WISE to respond to the myths floating around the internet. A simple way to set yourself apart is to constantly share the truth about the inter webs trends circulating. →Talk about HOW you support patients. I know you can’t speak about specific patient cases, but you CAN talk about common things you help patients with. This positions you as an authority that gets results without breaking confidentiality. And - it gives people a sense of what you do and how you can help them without directly selling to them (which is off-limits). The truth is - there are a BUNCH of people out there spewing ALL KINDS of medical advice that PROBABLY shouldn’t be out there. If you know the right answers and can speak the truth, then why on earth would you not share them? Have thoughts below?   • Brand building and direct marketing are not the same. Direct marketing SHOULD be directly attributable and quantifiable. You spent this much, you got this much, and you know where it came from. Everyone needs to start with this and never stop direct marketing. Brand building is unquantifiable *MOST* of the time. You can't always attribute where leads come from or what made them buy. However, it's THE MOST CRITICAL driver in LONG TERM sales and sustainability. You need direct marketing strategies. But if you CONSISTENTLY focus on ONLY direct marketing and never on brand building... Or you can try to squeeze your brand building into a direct marketing metric... YOU WILL LOSE long term. You will burn out your audiences. You will turn off your subscribers. You will run out of people who care about what you say and sell. The most profitable companies understand that the brand they build (and spend money on) ALWAYS pays off in the long run... they are just mature enough to let that happen over time. Thoughts?   • If you haven't shifted your messaging in the last few months... If you haven't rethought your content strategy.... If you haven't committed to UPPING YOUR GAME as a content creator (sorry - not sorry - you ARE a content creator whether you want to be or not)... You will struggle IMMENSELY as the year goes on. With AI content the new norm - you CAN'T afford to phone it in. Commit to becoming a MASTER. Even if you have a team. Your brand is YOUR IP. Your commitment to show up will most certainly make or break your marketing in the second half of this year.

  • Not sure where to start with your personal branding content? Commentary on current events. Maybe you are quite sure on how to nail your messaging and create posts from scratch... no sweat. Take some time to look for recent articles in your industry, and share your thoughts. Use the articles to either: →Teach your audience about the nuances of the content in the article or the topic at hand →Identify any myths brought up in the article →Give your two cents on a current law up for vote, trend in your industry, or market indicators to pay attention to Borrow attention from topics that are already trending and share your thoughts. It's a simple way to get your creative juices flowing and some content out in to the world (without some rando robotic ai generated content).   • If you aren't attracting the right people, and think your messaging needs a shift, follow these steps: 🔑Is your OFFER actually addressing an urgent problem your new avatar wants fixed? If not, there are no magic words, you can't reposition a solution that doesn't meet the need of the audience. 🔑What are the specific frustrations, feelings, and needs that come with this type of problem. That is critical to your messaging. 🔑How is the rest of your industry talking about the problem and the solution? In what ways can you create a different, more nuanced discussion around this topic? What is no one else talking about? 🔑Be exclusive. Great messaging clearly excludes the people that the offer is NOT meant for. You don't have to be rude, but extreme clarity will show the people you ARE for, that YOUR offer is their solution. When you speak to everyone - you will repel more sophisticated buyers. 🔑Authority. You've got to build your own authority to speak to this new person. What results have you personally gotten? What results have you helped others get? With every new level of positioning, you have to reestablish your authority.
