Each month we will shine a light on team members who have grown their career with Comoto. This month, we're excited to introduce you to Dan McDonald, our CRM Manager! Dan is living proof of Comoto's growth culture! His story is tough to narrow down into a single celebratory post but we'll give it a shot! It all started in 2017 when Dan, with an eagle eye for awesome workplaces, spotted Comoto (then RevZilla) on a "coolest places to work" list. He joined our team as a Fulfillment Center team member in our Philadelphia warehouse, but his talent and drive were undeniable, he craved new challenges. Dan seized the opportunity to apply for our innovative internal mentorship program "Comotoship", which launched in 2018 and matches team members with senior leaders across the organization. He was selected to be a part of our inaugural group of mentees while working with our fulfillment team as a Team Lead. Dan was paired with Stevan Popovich, our Chief Retail Officer, who encouraged him to pursue new opportunities with the knowledge that it would take hard work and effort to get there, but it could be done. Years later Dan credits much of his growth and the confidence to put himself out there to the time he and Stevan spent together in the Comotoship program. By 2019, a Digital Marketing Internship sparked Dan's interest in email, e-commerce, and social media. His dedication was rewarded after his internship with a full-time role as a Retention Marketing Coordinator. From there, Dan's hunger for knowledge never stopped. He thrived, mastering customer acquisition and retention. His contributions were invaluable, and a promotion to Customer Relationship Management Specialist followed in 2022. In late 2023, a CRM Manager role opened up; fueled by his incredible journey and a desire to lead, Dan stepped up to the plate. He aced the interviews, showcasing his expertise and vision for the future. He now steers our email and SMS program toward customer engagement greatness. There's even more to Dan's story that a LinkedIn post wouldn't do justice; it's a mashup of embracing opportunities, conquering challenges, and never giving up on your dreams. We're proud to have Dan on our team, it's been exciting to witness his explosive growth to date and we can't wait to see where else his career will take him!

We are excited to share that for the fourth year in a row, Comoto has been named an honoree of The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia by The Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia in partnership with Points of Light, the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia initiative, modeled after Points of Light’s national program, provides a standard for superior corporate citizenship and showcases how companies use their time, skills, and resources to drive social impact in their company and communities. We’re honored to receive this distinction for our continuing efforts to connect our business values to the needs of our community. Comoto was officially recognized at the Philadelphia Foundation’s Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia Celebration Event yesterday at the Cira Centre. Sasha Lewis, Quality Assurance Specialist, from our New Jersey Fulfillment Center accepted the award on our behalf. #Civic50PHL 

A huge shoutout to our awesome team members who absolutely crushed it on referrals this past quarter! Thanks to their dedication and network, ComotoNation is continuing to grow and thrive. Their passion for what we do is truly contagious, and it doesn't go unnoticed. Big kudos to Christine, Angely, and Angel for being on their A-game and helping us to add more firepower to our team.

Each month we will shine a light on team members who have grown their career with Comoto. This month, we're excited to introduce you to James Gonzalez, our Director of Enterprise Risk Strategy! James started with us part-time in our retail stores in Las Vegas, he didn't intend on sticking around for the long haul thinking that it would be a fun, temporary detour before moving on to bigger career goals. His skills and work ethic won over our retail leaders, and he quickly grew to become a Store Manager. Over the years, James has taken on increasingly challenging opportunities, including a stint as a Merch product manager in 2014 and a technical program management role in 2018. He now leads our Enterprise Risk Strategy team as Director in his most recent promotion. With his unique one-two punch of operational know-how and analytical smarts, James has become a go-to advisor for our top leaders, helping them drive our business forward. From developing and implementing risk management strategies to providing critical insights that inform our business decisions, James is the mastermind behind it all. His ability to balance risk and opportunity has been instrumental in driving Comoto's growth and success and we're lucky to have him on our team!

Heather's experience with Comoto dates back to 2015 when she joined RevZilla as a Gear Geek. She quickly found her calling within the carrier issues team and continued to learn and grow in the logistics and transportation space. Taking her white glove approach to customer service and pairing that with everything she's learned in her 8+ years with Comoto, her expertise ensures that every mode of transportation aligns seamlessly to meet our customers' needs. Her unwavering dedication to excellence not only optimizes our supply chain but also strengthens our reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction. Heather is a true logistics champion who continually raises the bar for what it means to deliver exceptional service in the dynamic world of retail.
