Coda is the all-in-one doc for teams. We're a growing startup looking to hire the next set of great Codans!

About us

Coda started in 2014 with a simple observation: In a world full of pre-built tools and applications, why do documents and spreadsheets seem to run the world? The founding Coda team crossed paths at Google, YouTube, and Microsoft, where they saw their teams stretch the limits of what spreadsheets and documents can do. Then in 2014, they banded together to build the doc they always wanted. One that erased the boundaries between words and data. And where everyone could work together, in their own way, off the same data. Coda. It's a new day for docs. Learn more at https://coda.io.

Get instant answers, from 500+ tools and all of your Coda docs. Today, we’re partnering with Snowflake to launch Coda Brain, your team’s favorite know-it-all. It’s a turnkey AI platform that understands all your company’s knowledge and data by syncing all your tools into a comprehensive, up-to-date brain so you can spend less time hunting for information—and more time putting data to work. Coda Brain is secure, inside and out. It’s fluent in words and data. It combats hallucinations with verifiable answers. And best of all, it’s connected to Coda docs. Introducing brand-new Grids for your docs! Grids let you focus on the content without the setup of up an entire Coda table. Some ideas for how to use them: 1. For Product managers: Showcasing product images or design mockups in a visually appealing and interactive manner. 2. For engineers: Visualizing project milestones in a dynamic and interactive layout. 3. For teams: Highlighting pros and cons of key decisions. 4. For personal use: Feature a list of books in a “Now reading” list.

Coda’s latest updates are designed to streamline collaboration across your organization, and give you precise control over document and page access. In July, we launched several new features to help make managing your team’s workflow easier than ever. → Sync page access control → Folder permissions for shared folders → Legal hold and eDiscovery tools for admins → Enterprise docs dashboards and analytics → Audit events dashboards for org admins Learn more about each of the updates here: https://lnkd.in/eX7ECWjp

In case you missed it, we launched sync page access control last week—a way for you to share content from a doc without sharing the complete source doc! 🗒️ Sync *just* your contractor’s task list, not everyone’s tasks. 🗒️ Sync *just* your partner’s invoice, not all of your invoices. 🗒️ Sync *just* your team’s updates summary, not the rest of the working doc. 🗒️ Sync *just* the final press release, not your 7 drafts. This new feature puts the control over sharing in your hands. Check it out and let us know what you think! https://bit.ly/3W7EJaX

Like so many others in the product-building community, Coda was at Figma Config last week in San Francisco. Shishir, Lane, Jasmine, and Bharat took the stage to share their philosophies on rituals, clarity, and building smart and scalable documentation for design systems (links to their talks in the comments). Check out some of our favorite photos from the event. Did you have a favorite #Config2024 moment?

Have you ever wanted to set sharing and permissions with every doc in a folder? Well, now you can. Granular folder permissions let you determine view, comment, or edit access for all docs in a folder—and give those permissions to specific users or groups in your workspace. All docs in the folder will inherit permissions from the folder, for a more secure workspace. 🔒 Want to learn more? Read our community post: https://bit.ly/3VKQ0wB
