    Last week we held a fireside chat with two prominent business leaders for our MBA students and QBS staff. Professor Ashish Malik was joined by: 🔴Dr Ravi Kant, former CEO, Managing Director and Vice Chairman of Tata Motors  🔴Peter Casey, founder and former Executive Chairman of Claddagh Resources, Ireland; former panellist on the RTÉ television programme Dragons' Den They discussed leadership in the 21st century, followed by a book signing of Ravi’s book ‘Leading from the Back to Achieve the Impossible’, and to finish the day we enjoyed a networking lunch.     i said it in a post last week but to put it clearly: sticking with contingent-only recruitment is a gamble are you willing to put that kind of risk into a critically important decision? This is what I share with clients: when you commit to Claddagh, we commit to you A contingent firm will try a job for a week or 2 but when they find out the search is hard (because recruitment is hard), they will move on to the next low hanging fruit/job opening.     Do you ever think about the "Candidate experience" that applicants who apply for a job at your company? We make sure that any candidate we work with enjoys their recruitment process, and has positive interactions each step of the way. It's a no brainer and it takes extra work and touch points throughout out the process. It makes candidates less likely to withdraw from the recruitment process, more likely to accept an offer, and WAY more likely to enjoy working at your company. Sharing this because people think recruiting is just about filling jobs with the right talent, fast. BUT it's way more than that. The "Candidate experience" matters, make sure yours is handled correctly And if you want any pointers about what we do, don't hesitate to reach out.
