Houston officials extend disaster declaration as recovery continues after Hurricane Beryl According to the city, the disaster declaration will help clear the way for officials to continue focusing on storm recovery efforts and allow more federal resources to make their way into the region. https://lnkd.in/gsjNSj6z

CenterPoint Energy will be held accountable, but we must get the lights back on for all Houstonians first. Mayor John Whitmire asks Houstonians to welcome the CenterPoint and out-of-town line crews as they restore our power. He asks Houstonians to respect the work they are doing. Threatening or endangering these crews is not who we are as Houstonians. We are stronger together.

On Thursday, I met with Francisco Sánchez Jr., Associate Administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) Office of Disaster Recovery & Resilience, and his team. We discussed relief funding for Houstonians affected by #HurricaneBeryl. If you endured storm damage, you may be eligible for a low-interest disaster loan to assist your business or home in recovery.

Thank you, Kingwood, for a great Fourth of July #July4th #July4th2024 Parade. Joined by my daughters, I was honored to be this year’s parade Grand Marshal. I walked the parade route to meet and shake hands with Houstonians who showed up to celebrate our nation’s independence. 🇺🇸 💥
