After over 45 years of dedicated service in the civil engineering industry, it's time to bid farewell to an extraordinary career. Rick Hansen, one of the Principals behind Murray Smith & Associates and now CBG, is retiring! Rick’s career started in 1979 with Giannetta Engineering in Fresno, California. After graduating from Fresno State in 1986, Rick worked for the City of Sacramento for a short stint before leaving to join Murray Smith & Associates in 1988. The past several years, Rick integrated his firm with CBG and helped grow the presence in the Sacramento region. From transforming the landscape of the Sacramento region to mentoring countless professionals, Rick's legacy is one of innovation, leadership, and unwavering commitment to excellence. His contributions have not only shaped our infrastructure but have also inspired the next generation of engineers. Thank you for your decades of hard work, passion, and dedication. Your impact will be felt for years to come. Enjoy this well-deserved retirement!
