“I enjoy leveraging my knowledge, network and experience to serve as a trusted advisor to my clients. I believe the key to being successful is hard work, being passionate about what you do and a commitment to excellence”
What an incredible experience at the 13th Annual ACG 101 - Association for Corporate Growth 101 Corridor’s Women in Corporate Growth Luncheon yesterday! ACG 101 Women's Committee has truly outdone themselves. I was honored, as President, to witness such a dynamic and insightful panel moderated by the amazing Lisa Amster, Managing Director of AGR Wealth Management Group at Wells Fargo Advisors. Our panelists included: Lisa P., CFO of Sunkist Growers and FGS; Susan Levine, Founder and CEO of Career Group Company; and Sally Knutson, CFO and Executive Vice President of Cast & Crew. They shared invaluable insights on the challenges facing companies today and the unique dynamics of women in executive positions. Their diverse perspectives, from private equity-backed businesses to co-op owned and family-run enterprises, provided a rich discussion on ownership dynamics and business structures. It was enlightening to hear how they navigate these nuances and actively shape their companies' futures. A special highlight was the presentation by our 2024 charitable beneficiary, CONNECTING A CARING COMMUNITY, showcasing how they foster a culture of giving back through awareness, hands-on experiences, programs, and projects. Their mission is truly inspiring! Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this event a huge success. Here’s to continuing to support and uplift women in corporate growth! #WomenInBusiness #CorporateGrowth #ACG101 #Leadership #Networking #GivingBack #Audit #Tax Marcum LLP #TaxMitigation #SEC #QualityOfEarnings #MergersAndAcquisitions #Valuation ACG 101’s Women’s Committee: Lisa Murgia Melissa Fulmer Sally Aubury Johana Flores, CPA Nicole Kamm Hannah Sweiss Michele Buckley Some of the guests included, limited by LinkedIn: Heath Goldman Wendy Pomerantz Angie Richards Jessica Bonilla Alyssa Weinberger, CPA, CFP® Joseph Kim, CBPA Wendy Luttrell Carol Bartholemy Andrea Light, CPA David Martin Rudy Cedillos Alla Kutz Ashley Duran Merryl Rabaino, CPA Kelly Wang, MBA Merryll McElwain, SE-AWMA, CEPA Senior Wealth Advisor Neisha Pereira Ronna Lubash Shianne C. Insightful article with our own VP Marketing & Business Development Mark Egmon sharing his thoughts on the complex modern marketing landscape and how we got here
In this excellent article Mark Egmon VP, Marketing and Business Development, The TEAM Companies, LLC and Larry Byrne CEO, Lakehouse Partners chart the rise of social media and other digital channels, which offered new ways to reach people and a lifeline to agencies. More channels meant more content to create. But following two financial downturns, coming after decades of questioning the value of traditional marketing, led advertisers to accelerate their drive for efficiencies, re-evaluating the amounts spent on advertising and the ROI of their marketing dollars. Inspired by the success of decoupling media agencies from creative agencies, the rush to divest from the ‘one size fits all’ Agency of Record (AOR) was on. The consequence of this however has led to less centralized management of the brand, less understanding of the importance of functions like business affairs and less asset management oversight. Compounding the problem for larger advertisers is that each market, and sometimes each business unit, often operate within their own tech stack, and often each of those stacks are not well structured or effectively interfaced. Has the pendulum swung too far? The article looks at the pros and cons of several different models that have been developed in response to marketers’ efforts to regain some control over the content creation process.
