You've experienced his incredible work all over Oklahoma – whether grabbing a coffee at popular coffee bars, moving through downtown OKC or stopping for a break on the Turner Turnpike, Shahjahan’s expertise in site civil engineering is all around you. From surface grading and drainage to utility design and securing construction permits, his work is the foundation of countless projects. We’re thrilled to have Shahjahan on our team as he pursues his passion for using green technology to reduce carbon footprints on future projects. Plus, did you know he loves classic rock and plays the electric, acoustic, and bass guitar? Rock on, Shahjahan!

Happy anniversary to the Bricktown Canal! As we celebrate 25 years, we proudly reflect on our role in this incredible transformation of Bricktown from an industrial area to a vibrant tourist hotspot. Guernsey was honored to be one of the prime environmental consultants for the $350 MILLION MAPS initiative. We undertook extensive work to assess and improve the environmental conditions across this two-square-mile site. Our efforts were crucial in bringing the area up to compliance, paving the way for the beautiful development we see today. Our Energy and Utilities team recently had the valuable opportunity to connect with industry counterparts at the S.A.M.E. OKC Post luncheon. The discussion focused on property condition assessments - a complex topic, but one that always offers insights for enhancing our client services. Our team, experienced in working with large entities such as extensive campuses, gained important perspectives on how smaller-scale companies conduct their processes. This week we had the privilege of representing Guernsey during the DC Fly-In with the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. Our visit to Capitol Hill provided valuable briefings from Oklahoma’s Congressional delegation for updates on the 118th session, with everything from appropriations to immigration. A discussion on emerging technologies was particularly captivating. Dr. Max Katz provided a high-level overview on his work with the Senate to look at how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be utilized for medical research as well as the risks associated. Being from Oklahoma, with one of the largest military depots (TAFB), we absolutely needed the briefing from Lt. General Tom Miller (who has commanded at TAFB two different times and is now at the Pentagon as Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection) on the future of Air Force logistics and sustainment. A special thanks to the Chamber for organizing this exceptional event and for their dedication to ensuring Oklahoma businesses have their voices heard in Washington.
