July marks six months since I became CEO of Bumble Inc. 🙏🏽 The most common question I get asked is "What have you learned in your first few months on the job?" So I thought I would use this time to share some insights from my first few months: 💛 Champion and rally around the business mission. For Bumble, the mission is why I came and what motivates me each day. Through deeply understanding what we stand for, I feel even more energized to help the world create healthy and equitable connections throughout people’s lives. There's a unique power in a collective goal or mission, and when we all believe in its potential we can pave the way for a successful future. ⚡ Innovation over everything. The best way we can deliver for the people who use our products is to continuously innovate and deliver what they need. Since I started, we’ve launched Opening Moves, a new way for women to easily Make the First Move on Bumble; Deception Detector which uses AI to automatically detect and remove fake, spam and scam accounts from our platform, and brought Geneva into the fold to expand our connection to communities. This is on top of many app improvements across Bumble, Badoo, Fruitz, and Official to deliver better experiences. We are only getting started and there is much more in the pipeline for our community! 🙌🏽 Kindness is often an underestimated attribute for leaders. At Bumble, kindness is a core value, and since joining, I have been overwhelmed by the kindness and resilience of our teams and truly believe that when we look after each other we can achieve our best work yet. Together we strive to foster an environment where creativity and kindness pave the way to a better future Bumble.
