I LOVE a good old fashioned field trip! We took Battelle interns on a tour of our Ground Systems facility where the team works on various government contracts to up-arm commercial vehicles. This month, we're highlighting some of our fantastic interns! Meet Alexander Cordero, our Carbon Capture Sequestration (CCS) Geology Intern for this summer. Hailing from the University of Oklahoma as a Geophysics Major, Alexander is diving deep into the technical world of #CCS. At Battelle, he's currently engaged in subsurface characterizations, a critical step in the development of effective CCS strategies. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿? For this summer internship, my goal is to learn and strengthen some technical aspects that will allow me to better understand the workflow in CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) projects. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲? I chose Battelle because of its extensive experience, worldwide recognition in Energy-related projects, and outstanding researchers and professionals.
