💡 Founder insights: MEDWING’s Johannes Roggendorf shares advice for finding cofounder fit with Sifted. 🧑⚕️ Founded in 2017, Medwing are on a mission to tackle Europe’s shortage of healthcare workers — the platform is used by over 500,000 healthcare professionals. Founded in 2011 as a spinoff from ETH Zürich, 42matters are an app intelligence and analytics provider — their data covers over 20 million apps, 12 app store platforms, 2.1 million publishers and 2,600+ SDKs. 📱“This acquisition enhances our ability to deliver top-tier App Store and Mobile SDK data. 📣 Portfolio News: Synthflow AI raises $7.4M seed round for ‘no-code voice assistance for SME’s’. 💬 Synthflow are on a mission to democratise access to voice automation for small-to-medium-sized businesses. ⚽ The Euros have taken over Berlin — and we enjoyed kicking off our Summer Soirée with the Germany vs. Hungary match. The event brought together founders and investors over Italian food, drinks and table football. 🇫🇮 It’s been a busy month for events — but one of our highlights was Arctic15 in Helsinki. We loved the focus on climate and sustainability. Daniel shared his thoughts on new energy sources and what will power the future with Caritta Seppä of Spintop Ventures, René Savelsberg of SET Ventures and Adam Chirkowski of AlbionVC. ⚡The discussion focused on the shift towards decentralised energy — and covered the importance of educating consumers about the energy transition, recycling resources and investing in innovative technologies. We’re looking forward to returning to Helsinki — first for our team offsite this summer and later for Slush 😎

🇳🇱 Portfolio News: Aware opens first lab in Amsterdam 'to tap the preventative care market' — they've expanded to five cities since launching in November. 🧬 Founded in 2021, Aware are on a mission to promote preventive health — and use 44 biomarkers to analyse areas like heart, kidney, liver and blood health. In January, they received the BSFZ seal by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany for innovative research and development — and plan to broaden diagnostics beyond blood. 🐴 “We always joked that we built a trojan horse with our blood-based service…the goal is to offer any test a laboratory would offer and be the front end for this market,” says CEO and cofounder Florian Meissner.
