This career-changing event is designed for aspiring and current leaders in the HVACR industry. The symposium offers valuable networking opportunities, professional growth experiences, and two new competitions to celebrate STEM careers. 🏆 Young Women in ASHRAE EmpowHERment Award Celebrates emerging female leaders in the HVAC&R industry. Open to women ASHRAE or CIBSE members 35 years or younger. Showcase your leadership and innovation through a TEDex style video and in person symposium presentation to answer the following prompt: "How can young women in the HVAC&R industry navigate the unique challenges they encounter, and how can ASHRAE cultivate a culture of empowerment, support, and mentorship to help them thrive?" 🏆 Young Engineering Students in ASHRAE EmpowHERment Award Recognizes young female students interested in the HVAC&R industry. Women members of an ASHRAE Student Branch, currently enrolled as full-time undergraduate students, can take part in this competition. Competitors must produce a TEDex style video to answer the prompt: "How can young female engineers, educators, parents, and the ASHRAE community work to encourage more girls to consider careers in STEM?" 🌿 ASHRAE Decarb news! ASHRAE had expanded its commitment reducing of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the built environment by transitioning its building decarbonization task force into the Center of Excellence for Building Decarbonization (CEBD).  The goal of the new Center of Excellence for Building Decarbonization is to accelerate the adoption of climate change mitigation policies and reinforce ASHRAE's commitment to achieving net zero GHG emissions in operation for all new buildings by 2030.
