We have downlinked our first Aries “selfie” 📸 The image was taken by a camera mounted on the satellite bus’s payload deck. The selfie shows power, thermal, GNC, and communications all working together to acquire and downlink the photograph. The camera captures one of the deployed solar panels in the foreground, with the Azores Islands and Atlantic Ocean in the background. On the solar panel, Apex’s logo and a picture of the team are visible. https://lnkd.in/g4mSTHxZ

Spacecraft Manufacturing
About us
Spacecraft represent the most pressing need across the entire aerospace industry. As more launch vehicles come online and the cost to orbit decreases, more companies launching payloads to space continue to emerge. For the first time in history, this influx of payload companies combined with reduced launch costs has resulted in a massive increase in need for commercial spacecraft platforms, known as satellite buses. These buses hold the payloads of our customers and are flown on launch vehicles. Apex manufactures these satellite buses at scale using a combination of software, vertical integration, and hardware that is designed for manufacturing. Our spacecraft enable the future of society: ranging from earth observation to communications and more. We’d love for you to join us on our mission of providing humankind access to the galaxy beyond our planet.

We are excited to announce our investment in Apex - Spacecraft Manufacturing's $95 million Series B funding round. Apex manufactures #satellite buses — spacecraft platforms with critical space operations subsystems, such as flight computer, navigation, power, de-orbit capabilities, and more. The company aims to reduce costs and cut lead times for satellites by delivering buses using the principles of standardization, production at scale, and rapid delivery. We’re thrilled to support the team as they play a pivotal role in the #space economy and enable new satellite technologies to get to space faster. Chris Abshire, a principal on the Toyota Ventures Frontier Fund, drove our participation in the round, which was led by XYZ Ventures and CRV.
