Maritime shipping 🚢 represents 2% of global GHG's - clean fuels like ammonia are essential to decarbonize this sector. At the Crédit Agricole CIB Shipping Decarbonization conference in NY, I was a pleasure to share how Ammobia's technology will provide the shipping industry with low-cost clean ammonia and learn from fellow panelists Ludovic Saverys (Exmar/CMB.TECH) and Nirav Patel (Big Hill Industries) how their organizations are working towards the same goal. We are thrilled to welcome Ammobia to our 2024 Cleantech to Market (C2M) program at University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business! Ammobia was selected from a nationwide pool of applicants who were vetted through a rigorous, three-stage selection process, including the selection of the finalists by a 33-person industry panel. As part of our program, Ammobia will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of University of California, Berkeley students who will dedicate over 800 hours to providing critical commercialization support. Together, they will focus on identifying the most viable initial markets, prospective customers and partners, optimal business models, funding sources, and related strategies. We are excited to see the transformative impact of this partnership and look forward to supporting Ammobia on their journey to commercialization success! The Ammobia team had a great Saturday team building sailing around the bay, hosted by our friends at Translated. Inspired by their motto "We believe in humans", we had a exceptional day learning from the world-class sailor Paul Cayard and his team. With a degree in software engineering and mechanical engineering, extensive experience both in software engineering as in the lab and a deep passion for climate, Patrick is well-positioned to lead controls & mechanical work at Ammobia.
